'It's like a proposal drive thru': Onlooker denounces queue of proposal setups at Eiffel Tower viewpoint

If there is one thing that social media is very good at, it is making people feel like they are inferior unless they create a performance out of all the most impressive aspects of their lives. Another thing that it is very good at is giving everybody the same, repetitive idea on how to do this. Add to the mixture the hype that surrounds getting married, and you have a guaranteed recipe for oversaturation.

Many of those who want to get married place a lot of importance on the proposal. After all, it is the first step in a process that is supposed to last the rest of their lives. As a result, it is not uncommon for fiancés-to-be to organize a lavish setup in order to pop the question. Often, having a special destination to do it in is one of the most important parts of the whole thing.

    It is fair to say that viewers found this unglamorous look behind the scenes amusing, with many wondering why so many people were set on this idea for a proposal. If nothing else, there are plenty of other romantic places in the capital of France.
