A stray in a storm adopts himself into a warm and loving home: ‘[The cat] came in, yelled at us a bit, and then promptly made himself at home’

Ah, the Cat Distribution System - no one actually knows how it works, but it's doing its job purrrrrfectly. It's demonstrated by the countless cat adoption stories it manages to execute, and it makes for the happiest of endings for all parties involved, cat or human. When a cat appears in your life in a certain way, you can almost certainly be sure they were CDS-sent. The CDS deliveries either enter your heart and just know you have to adopt them, or they waltz into your life like they announce, "I live here now", so you just have to accept you're a cat pawrent from that moment on.

This story is about the latter kind. Sure, this was still a cat in need, because a storm was raging outside (and that's no place or weather for a cat!) - but he simply entered the house uninvited. But with how his now-hooman tells, he's very much invited now.

When you find yourself sheltered in a warm place (not necessarily cozy, though, as this is a garage), and a lonely stray waltzes in - there's no way a kind heart could say “no” to that. It's such a tiny creature, full of fluff and love, looking for a safe space. We're so glad to know from the get-go this is a story with a happy ending.
