We have 2 boy cats and we decided it is enough for us with the space we have available.

Sometime in June I saw a post about a 1 week old kitten that was rejected by her mother.

We figured we could take care of her and find her a family when she got big enough.

But things took a turn for the worst very quickly, she dropped from 128 grams to 105 in 2 days since we got her and she was poping blod constantly.

The family that had her before fed her honey and cow's milk (don\t do this). So now she didn't want to drink her baby formula and was barely hanging on.

My gf took her to a vet's office and they said there is very low chance the baby will make it.

We were devastated and didn\t know what to do. My gf tried another vet and they actually helped her, put her on a diet with glucose and gave her anti hemorrhagic shots and I think that saved her life.

We fed her milk and glucose every 1-2 hours for the next 2 weeks. She had another incident around 1 month old, where she started to vomit and was shaking so we took her to the same vet and they were scared we might lose her this time, said it could be neurological.

They gave her some shots and kept her monitored for 2 days and she was feeling good again.

Not sure what happened. She was very week for the first 2 months and kept trying to find something (maybe her momma) and the only thing that calmed her down was placing her on my neck.

She continues to sleep on my chest even to this day at 5 months old. After all this work and all the emotional involvement, we couldn\t give her up anymore, and we didn\t have any proper candidates either.

We tried to be selective and offer her the best life she can have with someone that loves her.

In the end we decided nobody will love her more than we do already. It's not easy with 3 cats, it was a financial drain as they all had medical bills this summer, but at least they are all healthy and happy now.

I think she feels that we saved her, she's the most loving cat I've ever seen, she cuddles with me for hours every day and sleeps with us almost every single night.

She's on my desk keeping me company even as I write this.

Look at that face I got her a ghost (from trick or treating) and well she bonded with Holly our other street baby (rescued a year apart almost) Holly was inside someone's engine (Nov) and Mabel was on the side of the highway screaming in the dirt. So now I have 5 inside only cats
