'I walked right out': Top-performing sales rep who successfully led a team as interim manager was passed over for the permanent role, in favor of ex-Navy commander with no industry experience, so she quit the company immediately, leaving boss blindsided

When you're being perfectly groomed for a new job title, it can feel like the only thing in your peripheral vision: nothing else matters except getting that promotion crown placed about your head. Especially when you have proved yourself day after day as the perfect fit for the position, even taking on the interim position until a decision for temporary placement was made. Well, that's exactly how this top-performing sales rep felt after her 5-month temporary takeover of the sales manager at her job. She felt completely ready to take on the position full-time…that was until she got called for an unexpected meeting with her boss. 

A meeting in which he introduced her to the new sales manager…wait, something sounds wrong…that's supposed to be her role!? And now some middle-aged man is sitting on her desk as if he built it with his own hands…Well, by the look of him, he probably could've built it with his pinky finger (ex-Navy SEAL or so we're told). That's not the point! She deserved that job, and now it belongs to someone with absolutely no experience in the industry but 'impeccable' leadership skills…As he welcomes her to the team, her response proves anything but welcoming…
