Shooka 14 Amazing! Something I could see my cat doing But I've put a 'please, do not feed' tag on him

Mysticstorms OP He doesn't get fed on purpose, i talked with the neighbour and they have a cat door that's always open for their own cat, so he probably has just been sneaking in at night to steal their food

Tinkle Twinkle Toes I wish neighbors would understand that if a cat looks like a normal sized cat and not malnourished or raggedy looking, don't feed it.

FastWalkingShortGuy We had an outdoor cat in my neighborhood that would go from house to house putting on an Oscar- worthy performance of pitiful hunger and woe. We figured out his game when he hit about 19 lbs.

Madame Kitsune98 That was our cat, Beat. He was a big kitty. As in, he was actually a giant cat. He was also a scam artist who would go across the street to the assisted living place, and hit up the sweet old ladies for treats and TOONA.

We figured it out when one of the ladies was out walking, and we were outside our fence with our kid on her bike, and she spotted Beat, who was being our daughter's Guard Cat. And she asked us if we knew the cat. Yeah, he's our cat.

She gave us an odd look, and asked if we fed him. My daughter piped up, "Of course we do, lady, that's why he's a fat cat!" She looked sheepish, and told us that he would come over and sound like such a pitiful kitty that she would give him treats, and sometimes tuna.

My husband said, “I wondered why he was having such nasty farts. Please stop feeding him tuna. He's fed very well." She did. He sulked. She still gave him treats until he had a stroke and d d at the age of 14.
