‘Never in a million years I wound imagine to have adopted a cat. But I love him to bits’: Dog lover saves soaked kitten from the rough life on a roadside, healing the rescuer’s heart from the passing of their previous pupper

Dog people are simply the funniest fur loving hoomans. They think that only the soul of a dog can light up their lives, that only those boisterous barks will make their heart sing. That is until they meet the right cat and everything flips on its head in a matter of mere moments. Suddenly, cats are all they can think about, and they almost forget about any kind of canine attachment they once might have had.

Which is pretty much what happened when the Cat Distribution System delivered a cute, soaking wet kitten to one dog lover on the side of the road. It seems the CDS knew that with the passing of the pupper person's own dog and their resignation from their job, that they needed the love and light that only a kitten can bring and so benevolently bestowed this tiny fluffy gift upon this man. A wonderfully and almost surprisingly kind gesture from a system that is for the most part very kind and caring in itself.

Well you know what they say, when the universe closes a door it opens a window. Well, in this case it is a little more like the universe closes a job and opens a cat, but the underlying values still hold true. Oh goodness, that is not what you want to see, especially not after a few days. The thoughts that must have been racing through their minds, wondering how they missed this rather obvious symptom, if there was something that they did to make this happen. Terrifying stuff.
