SqueaksnSox If you can't let him in, put together a little box for him so he can get out of the cold. A plastic crate with a cat access hole and a blanket inside is all you need. Clearly the cat doesn't care that you're allergic.

We never thought we'd have a cat because both of us are allergic to cats, but we have him on Liveclear low allergenic food and that makes a big difference.

No_Lawfulness_5667 Could it be that he was left behind by a previous tenant? Looks like a nice fella. This breaks my heart.

M696rider Buy him an outdoor cat house with a heating pad. That's really the least you could do if you can't bring him in.

LowOnGenderFluid It's about to snow this weekend and hit 14°F in Chicago very soon. That cat will not survive if outside. Unless you or anyone in your household is anaphylactically allergic even with zyrtec to cats, please temporarily take him inside. You can post online for local adoption, or contact PAWS Chicago, or call vets around to see what they recommend. But taking allergy meds for one winter so a cat doesn't freeze to death is what I would recommend. Duck landlords. It's one winter. I'm
