Sweet person gains the trust of a stray cat that comes by his property, the friendly feline slowly opens up until she gets inside her warm and loving forever home.

Aww, we love a successful adoption story brought to you purroudly by the Cat Distribution System. We swear, whatever this meowsterious force is doing for the feline population is sacred. We have no idea how it works (nobody does, to be honest) - but we love it. And in this case? It's like they send a secret message, whispering to this sweet stray cat in their shared cat language "Go there, to that person. He will take care of you. We know you're scared, but go. Approach, and see the meowing magic unfold."

Lo and behold, the meowing magic did unfold - little by little, this sweet stray cat gained trust in this person. He fed her, gave her attention, and maybe most importantly in this weather - a shelter. Winter can be harsh for stray cats, but this person provided this beautiful feline lady with an outside cat shelter. Seriously, it's like the CDS knows how to aim the cats who need a home to the most kind and loving people. Simply meowgic.

Besides, as cat lovers, we all love knowing a cat in need is in need no more - because they already have all that they need. Shelter, warmth, love, food, and lots of pets. While some people know they want to adopt a cat, and just wait for the Cat Distribution System to find them their feline match - some people don't even know they're on the list. But somehow, the CDS knows to send them the cat that'll be a purrfect addition to their family.

    dv8njoe OP ⚫ 14h ago Say hello to Brownie! She was a stray that started hanging around my townhome complex. Started with feedings and she slowly started to come in and hang out. I recently got her cleared by vets, fully vaxxed, and spayed. She is a purring machine. My chow pup is excited and wants to play with her. But she is too big and too hyper at the moment.

    LazyAmbassador2521 Omg the same exact thing happened to me two winters ago! I live in a townhouse, and this really sweet cat started showing up in my little garden out front. I thought she was an outdoor cat who belonged to the neighbors because she looked well groomed and she was super sweet. BUT a few months passed and it had dropped into freezing temps (around 10 degrees F). She was still showing up on my porch for food and always outside at all hours of the night.

    So just incase, I purchased a heated kitty shelter for her. It came with a heating pad, and was really well insulated against the cold. She spent 2 months in there, and very slowly I got her to come inside.

    Fast forward 2 years later she's now a spoiled and loved housecat ..even though her "sibling" Sophie will always hate her.

    OP dv8njoe Awwww that is adorable. I bought an insulated house for her with towels inside and she seems to like it. I also bought a bunch of other cat things for her. Lol

  • You just know when a cat exposes their belly like this, they feel safe, secure, and loved. This cat pictured here is a happy cat, and it's very apparent. This belly doesn't just randomly show up - it takes building a high trust with a cat for that to happen.

  • Honestly, this is one beautiful cat. It's amazing how she was a stray for this long, but even more amazing that she now has a home.

    Dawnpath_ It's very rare to find a cat with the snowshoe coat out stray - this may be an escaped pet who never found their owner again. I'm glad she has you, now! Congrats on being chosen by the CDS!

    OP dv8njoe She showed up with 2 older strays one day and she looked worse for wear. Started to feed them and she started to come around more without the other 2.
