Millennials Reminisce About Their Cringy Business Casual Club Attire

Recently, TikTok user Cidnij responded to a Twitter user saying millennials were dressing “business casual” to go to the club. Through tears of laughter, Cidnij shares photo after photo of her personal early 2000s business casual ~in~ looks. Her looks included the classic ruffled collar and tiny vest that gave teenage paralegal vibes to a group photo where they were all dressed their “freshest,” which happened to just be a sea of cardigans, vests, and blazers.

Millennial viewers started to relate a little too hard. Fashion trends are a nostalgic capsule for every generation. Certain eras can definitely feel proud of the styles they're known for. The 1920s flapper haircuts sparked a feminist movement. 1950s Hollywood fashion defined glamour. And even the 1980s can look back at how courageously bold their shoulder pads were. But, unfortunately, for millennials, when it comes to fashion, we don't have the best track record. From thong “whale tails” and Juicy Couture track suits, millennials were really living Wild Wild West-rules when it came to fashion choices. Now, this generation has to reminisce yet again on another ultimate cringe fashion faux pas. But as they do so well, they use this moment of recollection as a chance to be pleasantly self-deprecating.
