Cats rarely rest, despite sleeping around 16 hours a day. Even that is a job in and of itself. Because being a cat is a 24/7 job that requires focus, dedication, and (obviously) lots of sleeping hours. It's not that cats are sleeping to avoid their very impawrtant job - sleeping for 16 hours a day is a job requirement. When their soul was about to descend onto Earth and had that "which kind of creature will you be" type of interview, they pulled their CV file, where it was clearly stated:
- Has vast experience in pushing things while watching them fall. Cups, hair ties, cutlery, and other breakables are of top specialty.
- Known to maintain eye contact while eating plants, especially with plant owners.
- Previously worked at the "screaming at 3 AM" factory in a senior position, managing a team of pawfessional zoomies performers.
- Record sleeping hours in one day: 19.
So obviously, they got the job. And when that soul comes down to Earth, they are the cattest of cats. Because being a cat is not just something anyone can do. Being a cat is a pawfessionaly made profession. Everybody wants to be a cat - but not everyone can.
