  • "I rejected a third interview with a company that rejected me twice for a stupid reason."

Anyway, I did an internship at this company and they rejected me when I applied for a full- time position.
  • The issue had nothing to do with my work, which they themselves said was excellent. They rejected me because they saw on LinkedIn that my sister had just gotten a job in Europe, so they decided I was a 'flight risk' and that I would bail on them.
  • I tried to make them understand that my whole life and career plans are here, and that I wouldn't have applied in the first place if I intended to leave.
  • I aced the coding challenge and the panel interview, but none of that mattered to them.
  • They literally told me that this was the main reason for the rejection. About 18 months later, they contacted me again.
  • was working somewhere else at the time, but I thought, what the heck, I'll try one more time.
  • It was the exact same interview loop, even with the same brain teasers. And guess what?
  • I was rejected again, for the same stupid reason. Now, about three years after the first time, they're sending me another email asking for an interview.
  • I mean, seriously. This place is considered Google- level in my field, and its name would definitely make a huge difference in my career.
  • But honestly, I've had enough of them. I replied and told them I had gone through their process twice before and have no intention of doing it a third time.
  • And I ignored their follow-up email. My time is much more valuable than this.

  • HokieNerd I wouldn't have rejected them outright, but told them they can look at the results of the last two interviews, as you won't be interviewing again. If they want to offer, you'd consider, but no third interview.
  • candlewick_67 What did they write in the follow- up email? I want details! The whole thing's ridiculous. They should know by now they won't hire you because your sister lives in Europe.
  • OldGoldenDog If you had taken a position with them they probably would have transferred you to Europe.
  • human743 Tell them you have interviewed enough and if they want to offer you a job to just send you the offer.
