Mom, who didn't allow her daughter to adopt a cat, hears meows coming from inside the wall, calls the firefighters to rescue a newborn bonded pair of kittens, and ends up fulfilling her daughter's dreams anyway

Parents always refuse to get their kids pets, and then, they fall in love with them harder than the kids. 

Maybe that's why they keep refusing. Maybe those dads who "hate cats" don't actually hate them. Maybe those moms who "never wanted cats" don't actually mean it. Maybe they know, in their heart of hearts, that once a cat is adopted, they will be the ones most smitten with it. They will be the ones cooing at it, baby-talking to it, buying expensive toys and treats for it. We would like to think that this is true, but they are too deep in their own lies that they don't know it themselves. 

It would explain why these parents, who are so adamant against getting cats, eventually end up caving and getting them. Subconsciously, they know that adopting a cat will be the best thing that they have done for their household, and more specifically, for themselves. There is no one out there who can resist the charm of a kitten, we believe that. Enough time with them, and anyone would fall in love. Today's story is simply another example of that. A very cute and heartwarming example.

    It was just like magic, im a true believer of the CDS since that day, I love cats, I only have one and I tried to get one on my own in the start of 2025 but mom didnt let me, so imagined my surprise when in October of 2025 my mom hears kitten meows in the wall.

    The title is a little misleading since these two goobers were between my wall and the neighboor's, trapped in a very narrow space, we had to call the firefighters and miraculously they were able to rescue them without having to break any of the walls with an improvised tool.

    Frajola, looney tunes cat name, and Alaska, without a tail, male and female, both came to me and the vet suggested they were 10 days old, the start was so stressful but so fulfilling

    I loved and will miss waking up in the middle of the night to give them their bottle, one thing I will not miss is having to help them do their did... it always made me so stressful afraid I was hurting them somehow so it was a relief when they started to go to the bathroom on their own :').

    They were so small and fragile once they arrived, Alaska didnt have a tail somehow, with a little scab in there instead, imagine my horror when the firefighter layer told me he thought she wouldn't survive 0_0 and now shes even more mischievous than Frajola, even without the tail.

    This was such a wonderful thing to experience and the happiest I've ever been in years, I truly think that this was destiny and im happy to be able to keep both despite my mom's tries to give Frajola, even she knows they're ours forever . Last pic it was them in the new year with me

  • "Goober" might be one of the most accurate descriptions for these kitties that we have ever seen. They really do look like two little peanuts, fluffy and wrapped up around each other like that. Like two little nuggets of joy. And they will bring you joy - an endless amount of it - to you and to your mom. One thing is for sure, we have seen stories of “moms who didn't want cats” enough times to know that eventually, no matter how much they didn't like cats beforehand, they end up falling in love with the little goobers.

  • This picture is everything that we strive for when we rescue kittens. The picture of them grown, sitting on our laps, loving their lives. These ktties are at peace. They know that they are at home. They know that they will be loved and cared for. We couldn't be more thankful to you and your mom, and to the firefighters, for saving them and then for adopting them. We know that it wasn't easy, but you made the right choice. They might not be albe to thank you in words, but they will show it to you through their actions, and we will say it to you in words: thank you.

    ObviousToe1636 They're already growing up so healthy! I always get scared when I see the really tiny kittens because I fear they won't make it but these two are clearly very strong, much to your credit with how you've dedicated yourself to them and they know it.

    Lunnewuu OP I'll never forget that when we rushed them to the vet as soon as we got them he weighted them to be about 160 GRAMS!! This was a crazy and rewarding ride
