Heartwarming momma street dog begs shop owner to help keep her second litter safe after her first succumbed to the danger of street life: ‘The fact that she trusted my father with her puppies was so wholesome.’

As we have mentioned in the past, pupper rescue stories come in all shapes and sizes. Though there is one thing that usually connects them all and that is that the hooman involved usually adopts the doggo in the end, or at very least reluctantly has to pass on providing a home for the pupper on account of having too many animals under their care.

But today we are excited to share a story with you that has no such intention, mainly because two of the hooman members of this family are severely sensitive to dogs and therefore cannot have them in the home. Meaning that all the time, effort and resources they invested in these puppers is purely out of love and admiration for them. Something which is rarely seen, because let's face it, when it comes to doggos, we all want the cuddles and the kisses, and we will go to decent lengths to earn them. But for this family, those signs of affection are off the table. All that they were interested in was the well being of this momma dog and her puppies.

Wow, now that is what you call a dedication to all animal kind. Can you imagine having genetic intolerances to animals in your family and still, as a family, doing whatever you can to help any animal less fortunate than you? It is even more selfless than adopting a shelter pupper. You give without the expectation of anything in return. And while it might largely be because you cannot accept anything in return, the point still stands and remains valid. Unlike us pawrents who are desperate for the love and attention of our cute canines.

This really is one of the most wholesome and heartwarming stories that we have come across. A true understanding and connection between man and dog, yet without the typical cuddling and full time are that usually comes along with it. It is interesting to see how for this pair their relationship works and likely has a heck of a lot more trust and mutual respect to it than many pupper-pawrent relationships. We can hardly imagine a recently pregnant doggo feeling trusting enough to leave her newly born puppies with a hooman just like that…
