New Year, New Lols: 20 Original Cat Memes to Start This Year With Fresh Feline Pawsitivity

A lot is changing this year, including cat memes.

Gone are the days of overused and tired cat memes that have been reposted hundreds, nay, thousands of times. We're throwing out that old, corporate energy with the rest of 2025 and embracing the new and pawsitive this year. We want you, our feline fam, to do the same! We can't expect you to change if we don't change ourselves. So, this year, we pawmise to post at least 20 brand new, original, freshly funny feline memes every single week.

In a world where nothing is original anymore, we think it's impurrtant to remember our roots and all the Lolcat creators who built the foundation on which we stand. These meme maniacs and whiskery wizards created the first ever cat memes back in the early 2000s. They made cat memes famous, and without their originality, hissterical humor, and purrfect love of felines, we wouldn't be who we are today.

We are one of the only websites left on the internet that still creates original and authentic cat memes. And even if the whole world explodes tomorrow, we still plan to keep creating more memes because there will always be people who need our silly feline funnies to laugh with throughout the day. As long as one purrson giggles at a meme we created, well, that's good enough fur us.
