Sneaky HOA board kicks resident out of meeting after they point out that the current president's term has expired: “Tyrannical HOA’

HOAs are infamously known for their ability to create rules they cannot follow themselves.

An HOA is to one of its residents as a vulture is to a worm. This is to say that HOAs view their residents as fuel to help them continue doing what they're doing, which is a whole lot of nothing. But who catches that? The resident featured in the next story catches it and is immediately reprimanded for it.

Let's imagine that an HOA board wrote up a process where a new executive board, including the president's role, switches to new hands every year. The board votes, the residents have a say, and the whole thing. Voting was postponed for particular reasons, but rest assured, HOAs insist that everyone should be a rule-follower, so you're not worried about the possibility of a tyrannical president trying to remain "in office".

You should have been worried. This is what happens when you give the wrong person too much power. An HOA president is not qualified for a role in a real government, so this is the next best thing. It's like when somebody is assigned group project leader. Say goodbye to your free will, friend.
