Sawmill worker's job security in jeopardy after he wrote about his boss on social media: 'I'm mostly getting fired for a Facebook post'

Everyone needs to vent about their employer occasionally. Just don't do it publicly on social media, or you might end up regretting it.

It's hard not to empathize with what this sawmill worker is going through because who hasn't wanted to lay out their grievances against a toxic boss? If only he had been satisfied with just venting to a friend or family member. In all seriousness, this guy spent the holidays overworked and underpaid while his employer was on vacation yet again. In an impulsive, "dark night of the soul" moment, the author wrote on his Facebook page that his boss went on more vacations this year than the number of times the author was able to afford to take a trip to Walmart.

No, this was not an exaggeration. When you compare these two situations, it becomes impossible to defend the boss's lifestyle and the level of fairness within this workplace environment. That is exactly why the boss felt threatened, because he knew deep down that it wasn't right.

To make matters worse, it's not like the boss took this opportunity to reconsider the payment structure for his employees. That would have been too idealistic for a story like this.
