Landlord uncle evicts niece from her apartment because she invited her boyfriend over against his wishes: 'It does say in the lease that absolutely no one is allowed over.'

It's an absurd rule, but he did stipulate it in the lease.

When you sign a lease, there are often stipulations that are questionably enforceable. My current lease stipulates that there be no parties at our apartment. Still, after a year and a half and a few more than half a dozen house parties thrown without incident, I'm starting to think that either the super doesn't know we aren't allowed to throw parties, or our landlord doesn't actually care. My theory is that because our parties are pretty infrequent and we always tell the other tenants in our building about them beforehand (and we invite them too), they don't tattletale on us to our landlord. Not to mention, our landlord is pretty mediocre at his job, and our apartment is definitely less annoying than he is to our neighbors. But who knows! Maybe he's waiting for us to get comfortable to bust down our door and evict us for having a blast next New Year's Eve. 

It's pretty common for people seeking roommates to request someone who is quiet, clean, and doesn't frequently invite overnight guests. It's an understandable request, considering how many people will basically let their partner live with them and use their utilities without paying a dime. It's not a dig on anyone's lifestyle to not want strangers sleeping in the same apartment that you sleep in. People just want to protect themselves as best they can, and controlling who they live with can be a way to prevent waking up at 2 AM to you know what.
