This simple precaution takes away anyone's ability to accuse you of being late. The same rule applies to many aspects of work life: by avoiding company gossip, making sure your work is completed with time to spare, and keeping coworker communication at its peak, you help ensure that your lap is the last place any work-related blame will fall.

So many people think that "rules" exist only to keep employees restricted, but if you flip the narrative and look at them as guidelines meant to support your ultimate success, you'll likely have a much smoother work experience.

  • Fickle_Gold_5921 Depends where you are, there might be ppl who will disagree with me. When your work starts at say 9, dont be at the door at 9. You should be seated or ready at work station 10 mins before 9. This is simple etiquette that will see you through a lot in future. Learn from this and move on.

Never give them any ammo that they can print and present to you as proof you are deserving of termination. It's better to always arrive 5 minutes early and duck out the moment your shift ends than periodically arrive 5 minutes late and constantly stay off the clock for 15-30 minutes to finish an important task.
