This employee is starting to regret not following our advice, despite believing that it was just a cop-out excuse for being fired.
At the end of his shift, he was unexpectedly called into a meeting with his supervisor, during which he received HR paperwork informing him that it would be his last day of work. He was completely blindsided and demanded answers, only to be told that the reason for his termination was due to recurring “late arrivals,” most by only a few minutes. However, he explained that these ‘late’ arrivals were caused by management forcing employees to wait at the main entrance for the door to be unlocked and that management had promised these delays would not affect time cards.
His reasoning was ultimately ignored, and despite their unsupported excuses, he knew the real reason for his termination was to allow for lower-paid replacements.
Either way, this is exactly why we recommend giving your managers zero “flaws” that can be used against you.

I just got fired for being 'late'. And the reason is so stupid.
