Usually, we don't explain memes. It's like explaining a joke - once you do that, it stops being funny. But we hesitated here… and decided to explain this one anyway. Don't worry, it's all step-by-step.
The sword is from a game called Elden Ring. What is it? Elden Ring is a critically acclaimed action-role-playing game (ARPG) from February 2022. It is a challenging open-world, dark fantasy game set in "The Lands Between," featuring lore crafted by Hidetaka Miyazaki (the one who made Dark Souls) and George R.R. Martin (the one who wrote A Song of Ice and Fire… or Game of Thrones, if you will). Players assume the role of a "Tarnished" warrior aiming to become the Elden Lord by exploring vast landscapes, fighting difficult bosses, and utilizing deep, customizable combat systems.
So what is this sword? Taken from the Elden Ring wiki: “Great Épée is a Heavy Thrusting Sword in Elden Ring. The Great Épée scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a good Weapon for combat where thrusting will benefit the fighter. Its extra weight packs some extra physical attack power and still allows players to use this weapon with a shield.”
So why a cat memes? "Eepy" is internet slang for "sleepy," popularized by a 2021 meme ("and why he eepy?") to describe an adorable, tired cat. Cats are frequently eepy because they are natural hunters with a polyphasic sleep pattern, needing 12-16 hours of rest daily to conserve energy, or simply because they feel safe and bored.
