New mom forced to come into the office in snowy weather but turns around when front door is frozen shut: 'I was standing outside [...] in below freezing weather'

This woman swallowed her pride and made the journey up to the office at 5:30 AM, only to not be able to get inside.

Let's take a moment and put ourselves in this lady's shoes. She's a new mom who recently returned to part-time employment but was unable to secure a remote work setup even though her job could easily have been done at home. Still, she understood and accepted the company's bizarre obsession with in-person work and complied. 

This meant that she needed to get up at 4:30 in the morning each day of work and schlep to the office by 5:30 before anyone else showed up in order to get started. The problem was that in these recent freezing conditions, she ended up showing up to work and was unable to get inside because the front door was frozen. Because no one else was there yet, she couldn't reach anyone and had no desire to stay outside in the cold. On top of everything, she needed to go inside to pump soon, so she decided to turn around and go home.

This ended up happening twice, and each time, her boss demonstrated zero understanding of the employee's situation.
