Pregnant cat rides to safety with a 24-year-old who "stole" her from her 21-year-old sister, who's incapable of treating the cat and her future kittens she knew nothing about.

Why would someone adopt a cat if they only act like they don't want a cat?

We try again and again, but we really can't understand people who adopt cats only to ignore them. You know, these people who adopt a cat but forget to take care of them. People who adopt a cat only to forget them for hours outside. People who don't understand why a cat wouldn't do well without two days of food. We seriously can't understand why someone would take upon themselves the responsibility to take care of a living, breathing, existing thing, only to show they don't care. To leave their care to someone else. Or, you know, to really just leave them.

Some of these cats are actually CDS cats. We don't understand these people, and to be honest - we don't understand how the Cat Distribution System works as well (nobody does). But we know all CDS cats are distributed to safety, to their forever homes, to the love they deserve. And we trust this meowsterious entity / body / ??? to send cats in need where they need to end up. Even if it means going through a clunky adoption by a young woman who had no intention of treating her cat. She couldn't even tell she was pregnant, or bothered taking her to the vet to find out.

But these stories wouldn't be true CDS stories if they were not heading in the right, heartwarming direction. Her sister took care of it. She scooped the pregnant cat right from under her younger sister's nose and straight to safety. Now she's fed, taken care of, and her kittens will all be in good hands once they're born. Sure, this cat didn't have a smooth beginning - but she sure found her happy ending through the meowsterious plan of the CDS.

This right here tells us everything. Not that the younger sister didn't know her cat (is she really hers, thought?) was pregnant. Not everybody can be sure. But a vet could immediately tell a cat is holding a kitten or eight inside her. So it means she couldn't even bother taking the cat she adopted to the vet. If she would bother to do so, a vet would have already told her that the cat is pregnant. But she left it in the hands of her parents, who actually took the time and effort to help the cat see a veterinarian.
