Lady yells at her dog to use the bathroom between 11 pm and 5 am most nights, neighbor confronts her: ‘[I] want to stop being courteous’

  • A senior woman and her dog, sitting on a porch.
  • "Imagine thinking your dog is the only one that should be outside"

I've posted here a few times before. My neighbor lets her dog out and screams at the dog all hours of the day (and night).
  • As soon as the dog is outside, she stands on the porch and screams "Sadie! Go p
  • Hurry!" One week, she woke me up every single night from 11pm-5AM. I eventually opened my back door at 5AM and shouted "Ma'am?
  • Could you please stop screaming?" She gave no apology. Just some weak excuse of "I'm just trying to make my dog go p."I said "Yes... I know.
  • But can you be more quiet? I'm sleeping." She mumbled a yes and I went back to bed.
  • I had a feeling she'd be disgruntled. Because what normal person screams at a dog at 3, 4, and 5AM and then doesn't apologize when someone is telling you that you're keeping them awake?
  • This lady lives with her mom and is on disability. You can tell that they're shut ins.
  • For the last week, this lady complains to herself loud enough for my husband to hear it.
  • I have an elderly dachshund. He doesn't like to be outside very long. He just goes p /p p and comes back in.
  • He's also well mannered. Sometimes I let him out and the neighbor happens to be out with her dog.
  • An elderly dachshund on a leash.
  • Her dog begins barking at the fence belligerently while the neighbor screams at it to stop.
  • It's loud and obnoxious, but eh. I just let my dog p and then let him back in.
  • He doesn't bark back, which I'm impressed by because he was a really annoying barker when he was younger.
  • Lol. This happens fairly regularly. Anyway, we're watching my father in law's small dog for the week and that dog is a yapper.
  • I let the 2 dogs out. The neighbor comes out with her dog about 2 minutes later and of course... her dog begins barking at the fence.
  • My father in law's yapper begins barking back. My husband was outside with the dogs, so he brought them back in.
  • The neighbor apparently was talking to herself and saying "Ugh, the neighbor has her dog's out again." then shouts "Sadie!
  • Hurry up and go p !" It just kinda... cracks me up? The level of entitlement that you have to think it's perfectly okay for your dog to bark at my fence all day and make me listen to your screaming, but it's wrong for me to have my dogs outside for 5 minutes, 3 times a day?
  • Like it's my fault that your dog likes to bark at other dogs? It makes me want to just put my father in law's yapper out in the yard to bark back at her dog all day long.
  • Lol. I do bring my dogs in as soon as hers comes out barking, just out of courtesy.
  • Usually, mine are done using the bathroom by then anyway. It makes me want to stop being courteous.
  • Pleasant-Wear2628 WOW: talk about self-centered (mixed with a little bit of crazy?). T&P's, stranger, T&P's
  • Enough_Basis_8935 I live in apartments 2 story with balconies and we once had an upstairs neighbor who's husband must have had to be at work at dawn, They would put their dog on the balcony and leave it out there for at least 2 hours every morning! That dog would bark the entire time it was outside, I am an animal lover and I wanted to steal it and take it to the pound Irresponsible pet owners are the worst!
  • Ingrown ToenailsHurt Record her screaming at the dog and then play it back loudly on a loop.
