The rules of the road apply to everyone. Period. Whether you are part of that community or just a drifter passing through. The laws are there for a reason. Like, for example, the laws that say where you can and cannot park. For instance, there is a reason you can't park in front of someone's driveway, and a reason a certain road is permit-only parking. However, in many neighborhoods, the streets are fair game for parking unless otherwise stated. So, you can pull up to any free spot and park. However, that is not going to stop the entitled neighbors from getting upset that you parked right in front of their house. If there were other spots open, fine, that is a little annoying. But in cities like NYC, Toronto, etc., when you find a parking spot, it is yours. The end.

Apparently, this entitled neighbor decided that the spot in front of someone else's house is his, because he's been parking there for years. However, that is not the law. So those cones he put? That's actually illegal. And him coming out trying to intimidate the person parking? Well, that could also be considered illegal. Unfortunately for him, the newest tenant isn't falling for this guy's tantrums and passive aggressiveness. Parking is fair game, bestie.
