  • I just got this email from a higher up. Am I getting fired?

I recently started a new job two weeks ago. I have been doing fairly well but I do have behavioral things, where I need accommodations which I got approved a week ago.
  • Earlier this afternoon, I just received the following email about meeting with HR and said higher up.
  • Please plan to meet with me and on Friday 3:30pm online. I will send you a meeting invite. If you have any scheduling conflicts, please let me know. Sincerely,
  • I am available on Friday, but can you tell me what the meeting would entail? Best,
  • It's a meeting with HR regarding a personnel matter. I will explain more when we meet.
  • Is this a sign I am getting fired tomorrow? What should I expect? I provided the following correspondence and redacted names.
  • natewOw A meeting with your manager + HR pretty much always means you're being let go. Plan accordingly.

  • pineknotave It's a risk some employers are willing to take. They could claim it puts undue hardship on the company to accommodate. If they already approved it though, that would be risky. OP, if you just verbally asked for an accommodation or even put it in writing, ask for ADA paperwork and you'll need to get it completed by a doctor, but this is a safer way to go about accommodations. If it's another kind of call, best of luck to you
  • CoolPlay5068 Original Poster's Reply I submitted paperwork for it and got it approved last week. Followed the process
