Brave kitten survives hurricane after being in and out of fosters, finally finds human soulmate to adopt her: 'She waited all this time for me to find her'

In and out of fosters, from East coast to West coast, this kitty really went through it all. But the cat distribution system has a way of evening the karma score, and gifted a kind woman this kitten. 

Believing in fate is not only common, it can be critical in times of trouble, in times of pain, and also in times of miraculous beauty that leaves you speechless. Octavia is a kitten who's from the east coast originally. She survived a hurricane as a kitten, and was transferred to Fort Collins, Colorado with other animals when the shelters and rescues got destroyed there. She was in a rescue for 2 years! She had been through so much, and it showed. She wasn't a cuddly, happy-go-lucky cat, so many potential adopters saw past her. She was shy and skittish and needed someone with time and patience to adapt to, and she found her. A woman ended up choosing this sweetheart, and the tiny cat is slowly allowing her to pet her. She meows for food and water and finally for pets. This woman fully believes that the cat was meant for her, and it's just heartwarming to read about.   • It's heartbreaking to think that this little cat went through so much and didn't have someone to take her in for so long. It's just the same with people who have been through a lot. It becomes impossible to decipher who to trust, how to be, or anything. Everything goes out of the window when you don't know a healthy life to an unhealthy life. It's not random that she's a shy and skittish can. Surviving a hurricane is no small feat, and she's simply used to being in survival mode.
