Abandoned itty bitty kitty turns husband and wife from dog people to cat people with her cuteness, changing their entire purrspective on pets: '[She] is now a happy and healthy 1-year-old cat'

People who say that they "don't like cats" are people who have never actually given cats a fair chance.

Cats get a bad rep. Every cat person knows this. It's just that we, actual self-proclaimed cat connoisseurs, care enough to check if those rumors are correct. Of course, they are not. Cats are not aloof, uncaring creatures. Cats are not mean. Cats love their humans very much, even if their way of showing it is not what you instinctively expect. Cats and dogs are different, that's true, but one is not a better pet than the other.

For people who claim that they are "not cat people", it's just a matter of meeting the right cat. Not all of them will. Not all of them are deemed worthy by the CDS. Some haters will remain haters, and quite frankly, it is their loss. More cats for us to adopt. But some of them will be deemed worthy. Some people who "hate cats" will get adopted by a cat, and they will have their entire worldview about cats shattered. Because cats are pawsome pets. This couple is proof of that. Once upon a time, they were "dog people", and now, they have not one, but two kitties living in their home.

Oh yeah, we can see why you fell in love with this itty bitty thing. One look at her, and we would have fallen in love too. She might be one of the cutest and tiniest cats that we have ever seen, ever. And we have seen many cats, here at ICHC. All kittens are cute, let's get that right, but some kittens… some kittens hit different. And this is one of them. This is one of those kittens who really would be able to turn anyone into a cat person.

The fact that you turned so much into cat people that you actually adopted another kitten… that's beautiful. That is what we call a success story. One mega adorable kitten, we might understand that happening to anyone. But another one? Going out of your way to find your kitty a friend? That is some serious cat person stuff, and we absolutely love to see it.
