'We found a dog that looked identical to ours in the shelter': DNA test leads couple to discover the sweet dog they rescued 2 years later is actually the long-lost sister of their adopted pup

The chances of this shy dog being reunited with her sister were so slim that it was nearly impossible, but fate brought them together.

Oftentimes, when we write about cats finding their humans, the fate that brings the right feline into the paws of the right human, we talk about the Cat Distribution System. At this point, it's basically universally accepted that such a thing exists. But we think that a similar thing exists for dogs as well. Something that brings us together - that helps us adopt the pawfect dog for us.

A Puppy Placement Program, perhaps. Or maybe a Cosmic Canine Coordination Center. Or pawssibly a Woofing Welfare Web. It exists. It has to. That is the only way to explain how this dog got reunited with her sibling after so long apart. These doggo siblings were at two separate shelters over 30 miles away from each other, and they reunited by accident, when their owners adopted a shy dog who looked similar to theirs 2 and a half years later. The dogs bonded quickly. The shy one, who was terribly afraid of humans, instantly showed an interest in the other dog. And then the amazing thing happened - a DNA test proved that they came from the same litter.

The sheer number of coincidences that had to happen for this pawdorable girl to find the pawfect home is kind of insane. We're telling you - there is something out there, watching out for these puppers, making sure that each one of them ends up in the perfect home. These two really were meant to be together. You can see the joy in them in everything that they do. You can tell that these two are part of one whole, that their lives would have been incomplete without one another. We hope that they will both have many, many happy and healthy years together, growing old together as a real family with each other and adoptive family with their humans.
