Financial compatibility is huge in a relationship. It's hard to survive without it. Maybe you're not making equal amounts of money, and you have different relationships to it. But money is a huge factor in dating and relationships. You need to create a strong foundation, and money is a part of that. Dating costs money, and you don't want it to cause a burden in anyone's life. Early on, it's best to define how money is going to work in your relationship. At the very least, it should be something you discuss at length before you get married. Marriage, more than anything, is a combining of assets. It's coming together to combine your funds, and that can get pretty messy pretty quickly if you're not careful. Especially if you're the one who has your financial act together.
