The process feels manageable at the beginning. You convince yourself that this time it won't be that stressful. You have a plan, plenty of boxes, and an optimistic attitude. But then again, no. You were wrong. Reality kicks in, and moving is stressful. No matter how much help you receive (by the way, thank you to moms and friends everywhere) or how efficiently you try to organize everything, it is always a looong process. It always takes much longer than you expect.

There is always one more drawer to empty, one more phone call you need to make to coordinate with the movers, one more thing you suddenly realize you need to buy, and oh! the WiFi guy is waiting outside. Remember, tomorrow the plumber is coming to fix the sink, so you should listen for the doorbell. Moving may be over, but your to-do list keeps unpacking along with you.
