It's so confusing that a cat's eyes look like the exact opposite of their intended situation. When they are slitted, snake-like, and scary - it's actually the normal and calm state. But when they're round, blobby, and unthreatening - it's actually hunting time. Very dangerous, about to pounce on you any minute now (after a few adorable behind wiggles).
