Hoomans have it better
via @Sire-mew -
The second cooking starts, the cat magically appears in the kitchen thinking a little snack is definitely coming their way. They start circling around, sniffing the air, and staring with full confidence like they were personally invited to dinner. Then comes the moment of betrayal when they realize the food is not actually for them. Suddenly the dramatic stares begin, followed by offended little meows and disappointed pacing around the kitchen. Some cats really act like not sharing every single meal is a personal attack against them.

Cats are unbelievably picky, and they absolutely make sure everybody knows when they do not approve of something. One wrong flavor, weird texture, or slightly delayed dinner service and suddenly the judgmental stares begin. Some cats will sniff the food once, look offended, and walk away like the meal personally insulted them. Others start yelling immediately to file formal complaints with management. Tiny furry food critics really have no problem expressing disappointment when the menu fails to meet their standards.

Somehow cat pawrents always end up giving in and making whatever food their cat wants. One dramatic stare or offended little meow and suddenly humans are opening multiple cans, adding toppings, or trying completely different flavors just to satisfy one picky little fluffball. Cats really know how to work the system too. They act disappointed for five minutes and suddenly the entire household is scrambling to provide a more gourmet dining experience worthy of their standards.
