While this hooman may not have gotten to keep this particular kitten, there is no doubt the Cat Distribution System took note of their efforts. Anyone willing to stop, help, and make sure a tiny kitten ends up safe and cared for is exactly the kind of person the CDS likes to keep on file. This delivery may have been redirected to another address, the system hasn't forgotten about this employee. Another furry assignment is probably just a matter of time.

Congratulations on your employment with the Cat Distribution System! While this particular assignment ended up being transferred to another qualified candidate, your performance review looks excellent. You successfully responded to a kitten in need, ensured proper care was arranged, and helped secure a bright future for a tiny furball. The CDS values employees who put the cat's needs first, even when it is difficult. Keep up the good work and remain available for future deployments.

The timing on this was absolutely purrfect. If that kitten had popped out a little earlier or a little later, things could have gone very differently. Instead, she found a kind mail carrier willing to stop and help, followed by a woman who was ready to take her straight to the vet and give her a chance at a wonderful life. Sometimes all it takes is being in the right place at the right time. This little furball hit the kitten jackpot.
