Money issues have been the downfall of many a relationship.

Life is frequently expensive, and a crucial quality in a life partner is that you have compatible attitudes to managing that expense. Relationships are always going to come with disagreements, and finances are one of those topics that tend to feature. However, there is a difference between something that can be compromised on and something that is going to put too much stress on one or both partners.

Some may argue that it isn't the most romantic thing in the world to constantly be talking about money, but there is a practical side to any serious relationship, too. The way in which a partner thinks about their finances gives you an important insight into their attitude towards themselves and the connection that they have with you. It can reflect what is good or bad in other parts of the relationship.

As a result, when an issue arises on the topic of finances, it is important not to ignore it. It could be a warning sign of worse things to come, and the only thing worse than being heartbroken is winding up being heartbroken and broke.
