Got a toxic interviewer's company website deleted from Wikipedia

A few years back I had an interview with a CEO of a small company. He kept me waiting an hour, was super ride, hadn't read my resume before meeting
  • 03
me, asked me questions not at all pertinent to the role, tried to get personal info on former coworkers. All this in an interview which lasted about 10 minutes, after which I walked out.

I didn't know about Glassdoor at the time, but when I discovered it, I found this company's page and learned that he was universally hated by everyone who had met him.
  • 05
Interestingly, his company had a Wikipedia page, which he had clearly created, as it originally read like a marketing brochure.
  • 06
Editors kept removing biased information from the page, and eventually it was whittled down to basically just a stub saying "This company exists". It had a
  • 07
Notability tag applied to the page, saying that this page really doesn't meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and should be improved if someone wants it kept around.

    Wikipedia page opened on laptop.

Well, I didn't want it kept around. F that guy and his company. So I applied the "Proposed Deletion" tag to it, which, if no one objects or edits
  • 10
the page or removes the tag, will lead to the page being deleted seven days later.
  • 11
Surprise surprise, no one objected or edited the page, and seven days later, the page was deleted. I experienced a small frisson of delight seeing the page gone.
  • 12
I repeat: Fk that guy and his company. Edit: I'm so amused by apparently receiving at least 24 downvotes on this, and I'm like... why?
  • 13
nothinghurt I had a similar experience with an interview at Tubi. Guy was shockingly r.. 'e. This was like 12 years ago and I still refuse to use their service
  • 14
ps_va Given that every toxic CEO reading sub would go and check in panic if their company wikipedia exists, i think you may have taken revenge on more than one. Good job!

techman710 I hope you did a little Rocky dance right after you found out. We have to celebrate our victories, no matter how petty. Today you are the champion.

Strange_One_3790 Going by this decline that you saw on Wikipedia, I wonder if this company is still in business?
