Weddings are getting weirder and weirder

It's interesting to me that a ceremony that's so ancient starts being updated by TikTok trends and millions of very strange new cultural practices. Where it gets very weird to me is when the most important thing in a celebration is the aesthetic part, not the part where you share an experience with the ones you love and they welcome the new era you are entering. This wedding guest survived a last-minute change announced via the wedding's website and caused drama by unknowingly wearing a banned color. Have we gone too far with the wedding-tok?
