Calico kitten adopts dog-loving couple on 1500 mile road trip, immediately pounces in to join the family cuddle puddle: ‘I can’t get over how she just instantly blended in’

Some new cat introductions are difficult - but not this one.

Road trips are the most underrated form of vacation. You can literally go anywhere. Just pack everything you need, even take your pets with you, and start driving. You really get to see the true heart of America while stopping in the middle of a 14-hour stretch of driving - the quaint little towns and all the historic landmarks that are unique to each location. I once moved across the country, from Washington D.C., to Portland, Oregon, and I drove with my best friend in the passenger seat and my cat in the backseat. It was probably the most fun 3 weeks of my early 20s.

There are downsides to road trips, of course. They're a lot of work, and finding food that isn't fast food isn't always available. It means that you'll end up stopping at a lot of McDonald's, but for the dog-loving couple in Reddit's r/CatswithDogs subreddit, this pit stop turned out to be a lot more than a potty break. A tiny calico kitten started following them while stopping for a snack, and the kitten immediately became smitten with their two dogs. 

We can safely say by the awwdorable pictures below that the feeling was mutual. The three heartwarming babies immediately started snuggling together, and their pawrents knew that it was meant to be. 

Introducing a new cat to a household can be tricky. Cats are typically very wary of new locations, especially environments with other animals. It can take weeks, even months, for them to finally feel comfortable… but not this kitten. It didn't feel like they adopted her, it felt like she was coming home.
