Worker spots a dangerously skinny cat among the facility's regulars, rushes to buy adoption supplies, and returns two hours later to find Simon right where he was, waiting for him: 'I was afraid if I didn't take him home, he would surely starve.'

It's not uncommon for people's indoor- outdoor cats to come visit the garden center I work at, but this one way different.

was so afraid he would be gone by the time I got back, but thankfully he was still there waiting for me.

He was ecstatic to see me, meowing and rubbing against my leg for loves. I was

just as excited to see him again, and even more excited to bring him home!

Oppaa Hajima Aww I bet he was abandoned considering how friendly and quick to adjust to your (his) house he is.
  • 23
Thanks for taking him in and giving him a loving home. Sounds like he was meant for you.
  • 24
BeesUnlimited OP I also figured he was abandoned. He is way too friendly to be a feral, he was once someone's kitten. I wish I knew more of his story, but I like to think this part of his story is the most defining lol

CosgrovelsHere To Help Simon has a Very Important Tail! Also I will be mad at you if you don't shrug and say "Simon says" whenever he yells at you for treats and snuggles and you comply with his wishes/demands
  • 26
BeesUnlimited OP I do say "Simon says"!! My mom calls him "Simon Limon" lol
  • 27
EagleCatching Fish How old do they think he is? Looks maybe a year old to me. Very pretty eyes. I like the two shades of green. My boy has that too.
  • 28
BeesUnlimited OP We're thinking he's closer to 6 months in age, but he could be older. He's quite small too. My friend who used to work there said he first started showing up there sometime in the spring. Either way, exact age is mystery right now lol

FeralSweater Thank you (and your family) for your kindness! It's scary to see how skinny this sweet kitty was when you found each other.

BeesUnlimited OP He was indeed so so skinny, it scared me and I was afraid if I didn't take him home then he would surely starve to !
