Have you ever walked out of a date because of how bad it was?

We've all experienced a bad date or two, and each one is bad for different reasons. Some dates are ranked so low on our dating history because of the experience itself, like, we found ourselves in a terrible restaurant, or watching an awful movie and having to leave the theatre. But most of the time, the date is terrible because of the company, the person we are there to see.

I once escaped a date with this "artist" because he made me walk 30 minutes to this art store and then left me standing outside while he shopped for a paintbrush. I remember walking around other stores in that weird little mall he wouldn't shut up about, and after buying a few things for myself, I simply left because it became apparent that he had completely forgotten I existed. He texted while I was already on the train back home… I never replied or talked to him ever again.

While that was bizarre behavior from a guy I was supposed to be on a date with, I know that on the scale of bad dates, many people have had it much worse than I did, including the 26-year-old woman in this case. She agreed to go on a date with a friend of her brother's, who expressed interest in her and asked her on a date. At first, the date was normal; they talked about hobbies, interests, and other general topics you tend to cover on a first date. But then, the guy admitted that the only reason he asked her on a date was because, "prettier girls are too much drama", so he decided to date someone who isn't his actual type. 

AKA, someone he doesn't think is pretty at all. 

If I were her, that would have been my cue to leave, but she decided to give the guy another chance and see if he could recover from this hurtful comment. The rest of the story is waiting for you below, but let's just say that you shouldn't expect to hear any wedding bells at the end of it.
