The circus has long been a place where the strange and unimaginable becomes something tangible, something real. Colors, images, and people you didn't know existed come to life in one place of bizarre and unique outcomes. The circus began in the late 18th century, which originally combined horseback riding, acrobatics, juggling comedy, and live music into one show. The circus spread around the world, and everywhere it went the culture there developed their own version of what it means to be a circus. There's the iconic symbol of the clown, and the thing I love most about them is that there are so many different versions. You have the happy, wild clown there to make everyone laugh. You have the stereotype of the sad clown whose existence is existential to himself; that he makes others laugh, smile, and feel carefree while he carries the burden of suffering alone.
