It's a series she started on her TikTok account called "Is the Real Estate Worth the Hate?" It's already three episodes in and true crime fans that are on the housing market are flocking to watch.

Owning a home is not really in the prospects for many of us, but we can dream, can't we? Instead we sit inside our rented home watching true crime shows wishing to have the balls to commit some sort of tax fraud and get away with it—then you could buy that dream home. What if you could combine that love of true crime with real estate? Hello new viral TikToker!
TikTok user Brooke Jezek uses the green screen filter to talk about current homes on the market where terrible things have happened. Each episode is only about a minute or less long, but the idea thoroughly gets through. As a realtor (and flight attendant), she provides listings of homes that are most likely haunted due to the heinous crimes committed there. So far she's only featured homes that are very expensive, but for good reason. For example, the former mansion of one murdered fashion designer Giovanni Versace, valued at $44.5 million.
Her first episode I would argue as the most gruesome. The house is where infamous serial killer Jeffery Dahmer murdered, buried, dug up, dismembered, then re-buried his first victim, out of the official report of 17 men killed. The victim was an 18-year-old hitchhiker who had just graduated high school. A disgusting act that left many in its wake scared and, for the victim's family, heartbroken and traumatized.
The house is currently going for $348, 900 (the cheapest one in Jezek's series so far), but we vote that this one is not worth it.
Her second episode features a house that actually had a true crime mini documentary series about it released on Netflix in 2004 called The Staircase. In this home, a woman was found dead at the bottom of her staircase. The husband was convicted of murder, but then got that overturned and was freed. The documentary series conveys a very confusing storyline, giving viewers a torn opinion on if he really did it or not. The house is currently valued at $2.2 million and, just like its storyline, we're torn on if the real estate is worth the hate.
The latest episode is the gigantic mansion in sunny Florida that used to be owned by famous fashion designer Gionvanni Versace. A beautiful castle-like estate valued at $44.5 million. The celebrity designer was shot outside at the front entrance of this home by a crazed super fan in 1997.
If you've got the money, we'll leave this one up to you to decide whether the real estate is worth the hate?
