Yes, yes, it does. As far as I'm concerned, you should never sell or gift something that was first given to you, especially when that object has some sentimental value. It's not only heartbreaking for the person who thought of you when giving you the present, but also for the object itself: some things don't have a monetary value, so selling them is not okay.

This brother was very thoughtful when he decided to gift his first guitar to his brother. I'm sure he thought it through, since we know that musicians can be very attached to all the instruments they've ever owned. Once his brother was getting into this new hobby and he bought himself a new one, giving him the older one was a huge act of love.

So, we can all imagine how sad he felt when he realized that his brother had cashed it. He was walking by the little shop and noticed the guitar hanging on the wall. He was able to recognize it because of a little dent it had in one corner. He immediately called his brother and asked where the guitar was. From his sibling's hesitation, he realized he had actually done it. Later, the brother confessed that he missed the deadline to get it back and assumed the shop had already sold it.

The musician bought the guitar at that same moment and kept it safely. Now the brother wants it back, and he even wanted to pay the same amount for it. But, of course, the older brother refused. He was not only disappointed with how careless he was with the object, but also very sad to see that he almost missed the only chance to get the instrument back.
