Stray cat chooses neighborhood dog during his daily walks, the two become best friends and dog owner decides to give the little kitty her furrever home

We all need a friend, even cats and dogs. And despite the belief that they can't be friends, this is the purrfect proof that you can't judge a book by it's cover, and that friendship comes in many forms.

Friendship really is the crux of human connection in many ways. Family is so important and no one denies that, but they're important because of biology, because of obligation in a way, because of an innate feeling of belonging due to our shared genetics. But friends are the ones we choose, the ones we want to be in our lives and the ones who make us feel seen, who make us feel loved, and who make us feel apart of a community. A friendship love can be just as strong as a relationship, it's just different. Of course, with a romantic relationship there are intimacies that we don't experience with friends, but with friends there are also intimacies we don't experience with our partners. A shared humor, a person who's looking out for you, someone you can go to and complain about anything without judgement.

And in this story friendship is the main character. A woman walks her dog everyday in the neighborhood. A stray cat follows him around and over time the two bond in a way that no one saw coming. From sniffing each other, to playing and rubbing against each other with love, the unlikely pair of friends are now best friends. And since the dog owner can see how important they are for each other, she decides to adopt the little girl and give her a furrever home despite never owning a cat. Read the wholesome story below.

It's an adorable video. In my life, my friends are everything. They're always there for me, and they've seen me at my best and my worst and they just keep cheering me on. They've seen me in breakups, they've seen me make bad decisions, and they're just always there for me no matter what. I have a close group of girlfriends, and we're in constant contact, it's really one of the most special things. I can't thank them for being there enough. Our friends really are our chosen family, and everyone needs a friend.
