In this story, the homeowner realized that 20 tourists from his neighbor's walking tour were literally in his front yard, right outside his front door. The worst part is that the neighbor invited them in. He got very upset and decided to shut everything off while people were still there. This is not what he agreed to initially: he wanted people to admire his house from the sidewalk and take pictures from there. You can imagine how the neighbor felt when the most decorated house was shut off in the middle of the tour! He had ruined his business!

Even though I'd be the one on the walking tour, I can't help but understand the homeowner more than the neighbor. I can agree to have people look at my house and admire the effort I put into my Halloween decorations, but respect for private property always comes first. It doesn't matter if my neighbor decided to turn the houses' decorated yards into a side gig: my home would be a priority, and I wouldn't appreciate people invading it for random pictures. That's my opinion… what can I say.

In my town, with these neighbors' homes, respect was always part of the picture. Nobody wanted to invade their front yards for photos, because that would feel like a lot, even for the ones who are admiring the decor. What's your opinion?
