"We adopted this girl 4 hours ago"
-
Just four hours after adopting this girl, this man was amazed by how quickly she settled in. “I figured she'd hide from us for a bit but...nope.” Although adopting a cat had been his wife’s idea, the newcomer seemed to choose him as her favorite person, leaving his wife “p*ssed.”
The funniest moment came when the cat climbed onto him and got comfortable. He needed to use the bathroom, so he carefully got up, expecting their cuddle session to end. But when he returned, “she jumped right back up and got comfy again.”
-
With some cat experience, he was still surprised: “Usually once your move even an inch, cuddle time is ooooover.”

A few months ago, this woman adopted a seven-year-old cat and often wonders about his life before her home. She hopes his previous owner knows that, despite the difficult circumstances that may have led to the decision, he found a loving family.
Although he sometimes struggles to understand the household’s older cat, he has settled in nicely and is deeply loved.
-
“My husband and I have no kids and are crazy cat people,” she explains. Her new cat is adored, safe, and constantly seeking affection. As she jokes, “he wants to be held all the time.”

This woman found Silva while taking a walk around her neighborhood, and the sweet, affectionate kitten followed her home. What began as an unexpected encounter quickly turned into a loving adoption, with Silva becoming her constant companion.
“She’s so sweet & affectionate. All she wants is love & space to get her zoomies out.” Silva has received her first vaccinations and will soon get her boosters, microchip, and spay operation. Her new owner has also given her a birthday: March 31, so they can “be Aries together.”
-
She ends with a heartfelt message: “Thank you for adopting me & calling me your own.”

"My little girl Mona crossed the bridge last night."
-
This man never considered himself a cat person, but everything changed when his wife met Mona at an adoption event. They were told she had an autoimmune disease requiring daily medication for life and rarely left her cage. Although he wasn’t eager to take on the challenge, his wife was determined to save her.
In less than a day, Mona chose him as her person and transformed his life. “She showed me how to be a cat dad and showed me so much love that I didn't know was possible.” She even helped him build loving relationships with their other cats.
-
They had only five years together, but Mona’s impact will last forever. “I'll never forget her and she will be in my heart forever.”

"One year ago, we adopted a disabled cat."

After losing one of their two cats to cancer, this couple visited local animal shelters hoping to find a companion for their remaining cat. Witnessing overcrowding and limited resources, they decided to give a home to a cat who might struggle to get adopted, specifically asking to meet senior and special-needs cats.
At one shelter, this woman noticed Pixie, a lively tabby with an adorable bobtail. She initially thought he would easily find a home, but an adoption counselor revealed his heartbreaking past: Pixie had suffered severe ab*se at the hands of a group of children, leaving him with permanent neurological damage and incontinence. His tail had been amputated following a serious injury.
“Pixie’s story broke our hearts.” Although the couple knew nothing about caring for an incontinent cat, they wanted to learn. A veterinary technician explained his needs and recommended resources to help them prepare.
During the four-hour drive home, this woman researched his condition while the couple discussed how to manage his care. Her partner supported her decision, but they didn't want to wait. “We returned the next day.”
-
The adopter encourages others: “If you’re looking to add a pet to your family, please consider adopting one with special needs.”

This woman found a tiny kitten alone in the parking lot where she works. Only six to eight weeks old, the little girl had no other cats nearby and was “definitely too small to have wandered off from her mom on her own.” Sadly, it appeared she had been abandoned.
“I couldn't just leave her there,” the woman explained, deciding to adopt the kitten rather than leave her behind. The little one now has a safe home and is joining her new family of three cats, where she can grow up surrounded by love.

"Six years ago, I made the best decision of my life: adopting this cat."
-
This woman adopted Cersei, her first cat, when the stray with neurological issues came into her life during one of her darkest periods. She admits she “desperately needed something to live for,” and Cersei became that reason.
Five years ago, she got a job in Europe but faced a four-to-five-month wait before Cersei could join her. For her, there was no question about leaving her cat behind: “The job could wait. Leaving my baby behind was NEVER an option.”
-
Today, Cersei is healthy, happy, and completely obsessed with her adopter’s boyfriend. As she jokes, “I'm pretty sure she's forgotten that I'M her mommy.”

After this woman’s cat lost his beloved companion in 2023, her “toasted marshmallow” became deeply depr*ssed. Hoping to help him, the family spotted a little black cat advertised on their local shelter’s website and knew “we had to adopt her.”
From the moment they met, the two cats bonded, becoming inseparable. They now spend their days grooming, snuggling, and playing together. Their new addition is “the most snuggly girl in the world,” showering affection on both cats and her humans.
-
Although the family still misses their “storm cloud,” they believe she sent this little void to them, keeping her memory alive through their love.

"Just adopted this old lady"
-
Joey is a senior cat whose owner could no longer care for her. This woman, who works at a boarding kennel and cattery, had been looking after Joey when she learned that the owner’s next of kin didn’t want her and planned to have her put down. She immediately offered to take her in.
Although Joey is listed as 13, her adopter believes she may be 14 or 15. Despite being “small and frail,” she has started eating more and seems much livelier in her new home. She’s also “definitely happier with a bit more space.”
-
Her adopter believes Joey still has good years ahead and was “happy to give her a place to live out that time.”

This man is the grumpiest, funniest cat his owner has ever seen. Twice the size of the other Sphynx cats in the household, he keeps them terrified while seemingly enjoying every minute of it.
Despite his intimidating attitude, he has a surprisingly affectionate side. Every morning, he curls up on his owner’s lap for cuddles while they drink coffee, “but growls the whole time.”
His owner wouldn’t change a thing, giving this hilariously grumpy cuddle bug a “10/10” recommendation.
