J.C. Penney was selling this little fashion statement on their website earlier today: a long-sleeved shirt for girls aged 7 to 16 reading "I'm too pretty to do homework so my brother has to do it for me." The caption on its product page read "Who has time for homework when there's a new Justin Bieber album out? She'll love this tee that's just a cute and sassy as she is.
Some, who no longer live in the era when it was more important for women to worry about looks instead of grades, were understandably upset. J.C. Penney took down the offending item and issued a full apology. They're still looking into the person responsible for putting it on the site, but my money's on a 90-year-old white male who vaguely knows that "Justin Bieber" is a person.
