Disney Just Deleted An Amazing Tweet That Was Dark AF

The dark humor and nihilist memes that have been so popular of late have officially reached Disney's social media team. The normally cheery and optimistic brand tweeted a surprisingly dark meme on Sunday, featuring their very own Pinnochio. An image of the puppet, who in the story is brought to life by a fairy, is paired with the bleak caption "When someone compliments you, but you're dead inside." Disney provided their own bizarre caption: "Makes no difference who you are." 

Disney deleted the dismal tweet earlier today after many Twitter users reached out in concern, both real and facetious. While many Disney fans felt the joke was too dark, others were quick to point out that the themes of many Disney movies are already exceedingly dark - so many characters have experienced great loss. Dark or not, we wish they'd kept the tweet up - it is probably the funniest joke they've ever shared.
