Rockers of the Day: 1,000 Musicians Beg Foo Fighters to Play in Italy by Performing 'Learn to Fly'

At least 1,000 people in Italy really, really want The Foo Fighters to play a show near them.

They want it so bad that they all gathered in a field and performed the hit song Learn to Fly as an appeal to the Dave Grohl-led band.

It's a very creative way to beg.

Fabio Zaffagnini, with a goofy smile on his face, gave a speech after the 1000 "rockers" (as he called them) finished the song.

Italy is not a place where dreams can not easily come true, but it's a land of passion and creativity. So what we did and here is just a huge, huge miracle.

What is the purpose of this dude trying to orchestrate a THOUSAND people spread out over a field???

Considering how everyone is playing together, there's really no need to have this conductor facilitating the pretty simple arrangement.

AND, people would have to look DIRECTLY INTO THE SUN to catch his maestro-ing, making him even more useless.

The dude knows it. He at one time is just gesturing into the camera, completely aware at how little impact he has on the whole affair.

Sincerely hope he was not counted as one of the 1,000 musicians. If he was, that title is a LIE.
