Do you know how you joke that you can't have too many cats? This is too many cats. Toronto Cat Rescue removed over 300 cats from a small apartment in Toronto. When TCR got a call complaint from neighbors, they went to check the situation out but were completely surprised for the "overwhelming" sight that would greet them at the front door. It is unknown at this time if the resident will face charges, as the cats found were in fairly good condition. "Some of them are a bit malnourished and dehydrated but no fleas, parasites, dental or medical problems," Belinda Vandersluis, TRC executive director, said. Some of the cats were pregnant and imminently due.
"It was an incredible sight," said Belinda Vandersluis, TRC executive director. "It was a difficult place to be, with the strong smells, an overwhelming number of cats … throughout the day the number just kept increasing as you counted them."
TCR has since posted pictures of a sea of cats crowding every imaginable space imaginable in the small apartment. Four or five are pictured crouched in the bathtub and on the toilet seat.

The TRC website states, 'All of the cats will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and observed by their foster home for behaviour and medical issues. We will post the cats and kittens as they become available for adoption.'
