This Maine coon is definitely having a Hot girl Cat Summer!
Tissy, a 5-year-old Maine Coon from Pennsylvania is fighting the stereotype that all felines hate water. Not only does Tissy love water, she goes swimming in the family pool at least once a week (supervised, of course).
Tissy was adopted five years ago by the Herr family after she was rescued as a kitten from a busy parking lot. The Herrs didn't know at the time that tiny, flea-covered kitten would grow up to be so large and fluffy!
Tissy's owner, Sonny told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, "People say it's crazy, but she's just a laid-back cat that loves to swim."

Tissy loves to swim mostly with Sonny's 9-year-old daughter, Taylee. Tissy will paddle out towards Taylee, and when they get out of the water together, Tissy comes to cuddle with Taylee in a fluffy towel.

Jennifer, Taylee's mom, told the Tribune-Review, "We put the floatie on Tissy after a few minutes of swimming because I'm not sure how long a cat can swim and I don't want her to overexert herself."
Via Water KittyThe floatie was custom-made out of part of a ring-toss game. Pretty clever!

But how did this all start?
Via Water KittyThe Herrs say that Tissy first caught the water bug watching Taylee swim, when Tissy was a year old.
Tissy not only loves swimming in pools -- she actually enjoys bath time as well! As long as the water is warm, of course.
"I think she really just trusts us because we had to bottle-feed her for weeks and was so tiny. She's our baby," Jennifer Herr said. "She also absolutely loves warm bubble baths. She lets the water roll right over her head. She lays down and relaxes in the water."
