We have all had moments where we felt the need to say, “sorry" to someone even though there really wasn't anything we did to potentially offend them.

Can't think of any moments? Ever had somebody bump into you while you were walking, and for whatever reason, to ease the awkwardness, you exclaimed, “Gee! Sorry!”

Okay, maybe you weren't so cartoonish about it, but we can't imagine you haven't experienced this ‘Saying sorry for no reason’ phenomenon.

Perhaps we do this because when we're growing up all of the adults in our lives make such a big deal of us apologizing to each other, and when you're 5 years old and someone stole your toy during playtime, it takes a lot of patience and self-control to back down and apologize for whatever terrible word you may have called them.

Well, a video currently trending on Tiktok is a video of a dad sharing some of the absurd things he has had to apologize to his teens for, and people seriously cannot get enough. This is the first video we came across.

Dad Apologies

Tiktok user, @the_leighton_show is known for his hilarious content about parenting, fatherhood, and marriage. How he thought of this incredible idea… We have no clue. But we do have good news, it's a series! Here's another:

And this is the first one he ever shared that started off this series:

Ridiculous, right? There are plenty of videos he makes that are just like this! Now, Let's get into some of these hilarious responses from other Tiktok users.

Comment section gems from other parents

“Have you tried dancing in front of them? They love it! The usual response is “just don’t” or “why???” Which I think is slang for cool.”

“😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I got in trouble for saying “Good Morning” in a voice that was too cheery. 😳”

“I had the nerve to show up 5 minutes early to pick them up from dance. I didn’t go inside or anything. Just sat in the car but obviously I was wrong”

“Not driving right according to my 14-year-old who has never driven”

“😂 Also asking how their day was is kinda deadly 😂”

Clearly, this guy is onto something.
